My reaction to the first two episodes of Muppets Now is definitely mixed. I like the format of the show of having each Muppet have their own little mini-show. This is a great way to update the Muppets variety show format to modern day. The skits themselves are sometimes funny and sometimes not. I am personally not of fan of Miss Piggy's fashion show for the simple reason that there is hardly a laugh to be found. In other skits, ideas like Kermit being an expert photobomber just plain old don't work. Some skits are fine but nothing special such as the Swedish Chef's cooking show. Most of the special guests don't really get a chance to do much and are often times simply wasted. Still on the other hand this show has some pure delights as well. The interview segments with Kermit simply trying to do an interview but being constantly interrupted by the other Muppets are very funny and Pepe's game show is hilarious.
This show is definitely worth watching for Muppet fans but will probably not create many new converts.
