Hello my friends. Though today's current music is often something ridiculed by many fans of music of the 20th century, good music is still out there and coming out often. This good music comes from both the old masters who are still with us and a new generation of artists. Case in point is Willie Nelson and Sierra Ferrell, both of whom are putting out great music with one of them having been around for decades and the other a relative newcomer. Willie Nelson has recently announced an album of Frank Sinatra covers (his second (his first being 2018's My Way)) to come out on February 26th, 2021. A few days ago he gave us a taste of what this album will be like with a beautiful recording of Cottage For Sale (a song written by Larry Conley and Willard Robison that was first published in 1929 (Frank recorded it on his 1959 album, No One Cares)). Sierra Ferrell on the other hand is a newcomer whose musical career only dates back a couple years. She is a name for music fans to certainly look out for with a fantastic voice and a unique style and delivery all her own. Both her original songs and her covers are uniquely hers. Last month she released a couple of covers of classic Christmas song, that I love.
